TOUR DESCRIPTION
Day 1. Lima
Arrival. Reception and transfer to hotel in Lima
Afternoon Lima city bike tour.
Day 2. Lima – Pisco, Ballestas Islands (250km)- Ica (55km)
Early morning departure. Overland 4x4 trip to Pisco. In the
morning boat tour to the Ballestas Islands. Bike tour
across the Paracas wildlife reserve. In the afternoon
continue by 4x4 to Ica overnight in a local hotel.
Day 3. Ica.
Morning: Visit to a local traditional winery.
Afternoon: Sandboarding. Includes dune buggy ride, pro type
sandboard with boots and guide. Overnight in a local hotel.
Day 4. Ica – Chalhuanca (486km)
Early morning departure. Overland 4x4 trip to Chalhuanca.
On the way stops at Palpa and Nazca to see the enigmatic
lines from the ground watching spots and visit the local
archaeological sites: Huayuri, Cahuachi and Catayoc
aquaducts, etc.; and at Pampa Galeras to see wild
southamerican cameloids in their natural sanctuary. The
trip continues up to Lucanas, Puquio and Chalhuanca, here we
will stay overnight at the beautiful Tampumayu lodge.
Day 5. Chalhuanca.
Day to rest in the morning, in the afternoon bike trip to
the surroundings to visit the local interesting sites:
Pincahuacho hot springs, lagoons, etc. Lunch and dinner at
the hotel. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 6. Chalhuanca – Abancay (118km)
Early morning departure by bike. The trip is by paved road
alternating some sections by the ancient rural trail up to
the Pachachaca colonial bridge and on to Abancay. The 4x4
escorts the bikers along the way. Overnight in a local
hotel.
Day 7. Abancay – Cusco (195km)
After breakfast the bike trip heading to Cusco continues
alternating paved road and rural trail. On the way visit
the Saywite and Curawasi sites and the Cconoc hot springs
spot. From here we continue by 4x4 to Cusco. Overnight in
a local hotel
Day 8. Cusco
Open time in the morning. In the afternoon visit the main
archaeological sites around Cusco: Qenko, Pukapukara,
Tambomachay y Sacsayhuaman. Overnight in a local hotel.
Day
9. Cusco – Urubamba (57km)
4x4 transfer to Huaypo from here continue cycling through
the Urubamba valley to the town of Maras and the
experimental terraces of Moray, about 35km on dirt roads and
single track, passing through small villages. Lunch at Moray
with a visit to the salt mines of Salineras. Afternoon
arrival to Urubamba. Accommodation in a local lodge.
Day 10. Machu Picchu.
Transfer to Ollantaytambo train station. Train trip to Machu
Picchu to visit this breathtaking archaeological site, one
of the 7 wonders or the world. Overnight at Aguas Calientes
village in a local lodge.
Day 11. Machu Picchu - Cusco
Full day to visit Machu Picchu and surroundings. Afternoon
return to Urubamba by train and on to Cusco by 4x4.
Overnight in a local hotel.
Day 12. Cusco – Puno (389km)
4x4 trip to Puno. On the way visit the some towns: Pukara,
Racchi, etc. and the Sillustani pre-inka settlement.
Overnight in a local hotel.
Day 13. Lake Titikaka: Uros and Amantani islands
Boat trip to visit the Uros floating islands and Amantani
island. Overnight in a local family house in the island.
Day 14. Return to Puno. Overnight in a local hotel.
Day 15. Final transfer to the airport, train or bus station.

Reservations.
The reservation must be done minimum 30
days prior to arrival date with 50% payment. The rest must
be paid 15 days before arrival date. For reservations out of

Payments. Following methods are
accepted: cash in US dollar notes, credit cards VISA, Master
Card, Diners.
Cancellations
Reservations cancelled 30 days before the
first day of the tour will be fully refunded less money
transfer and bank fees.
Reservations cancelled less than 30 days
before the first day of the tour will be refunded less 30% +
money transfer and bank fees.
No show is 100% not refunded.
Baggage
Due to limited space in the 4x4 vehicle,
boats, train, etc. only 1 medium size bag per person is
allowed. If the customer requires to bring more baggage its
can be stored or forwarded to the next destinations whether
suits the best. Please ask about this matter.
Liability
Cicloturismo Perú won’t assume any
liability due to additional costs, damages, looses or any
other unfavourable issues (for persons or goods) caused by
delays and cancellations of transport services, bad weather,
social or political disorders or any other unexpected
circumstance.
Guide.
Permanent English – Spanish speaking
guide available along the whole 23 days tour. Certified
experienced guide trained in quality customer service,
emergency management operations and first aid.
Transport.
Transport provided by us:

Permanent 4x4 support vehicle from Lima to Puno during the whole 23 days tour.
For 2 customers: Toyota Hi Lux 4x4 double cabin pickup
For 4 customers: Toyota Land Cruiser 4x4 wagon.
Full time certified driver.
All vehicles in excellent condition and with valid
insurance.

Top quality hard tail aluminium frame bikes with front
suspension, helmet and accessories.

Accommodation.
Accommodation facilities and services
considered are in good quality standard class and superior
class hotels with private bathroom, permanent hot water.
Breakfast included. Accommodation is on double occupancy
basis.
Places in which accommodation is in basic
local lodges, local families houses or camp according with
travel plan: Amantani island in Lake
Titikaka, Aguas Calientes near
Machu Picchu.

Sleeping bags and mats are not included.

For permanent communication along the way nation wide range
cellular phone operating where signal is available. For
emergency communication from remote locations the 4x4
vehicle is equipped with HF radiocommunication equipment in
case telephone is not available.
Safety: The
route is safe but in case of an accident, emergency or
unexpected situation arises, the guide is trained in
emergency management operations with a priority command on
customers safety and well being. This includes immediate
evacuation to a safe place, transfer by the fastest and
safest way to the nearest hospital and organize the best
solution according with the facing issue.
Special health care:
in case a customer requires special health care we are in
condition to help or provide whatever would be necessary.
The special health care information should be provided in
advance. Yellow Fever vaccination is required 10 days
before to enter the jungle areas.
24/7
Services
24 hours / 7 days services are
guaranteed. The guide escorts the customers on a permanent
basis along the whole tour and the support from the
organization is also permanent, by this way the services
provided by others to the customers are supervised by us,
including advice about best places to eat, shopping, money
exchange, legal issues, etc.. We don’t transfer the
customers to third party companies and let them alone. A 24h
hot line is available. The guide and all our staff are
permanent members of our organization with expertise in all
the procedures involved and related with the services
provide by us and others. The tour group is permanently
tracked and the guide submits a daily report.

photography
A full set of photos and videos of the
trip will be recorded and distributed to the customers.

Recommended
personal clothing and equipment.
Customers will need light, breathable clothing constructed
of technical wicking polyester to efficiently move moisture
away from the skin so that it can evaporate quickly and dry
up. 2 long-sleeved shirts, 2 short sleeved shirts and 2
removable legs pants, 2 pairs of low profile breathable
light hiking shoes or running shoes, a raincoat, sunglasses,
hat, swimsuit, a sweatshirt and a warm polarfleece
lightweight jacket. Biking gloves. Insect repellent, high
factor sunscreen, personal medication, water bottle,
binoculars, head flashlight and rechargeable batteries and
charger, pocket knife, and a camera with plenty of film or
